kawamura-ganjavian, in collaboration with Carlos Manzano arquitectos, have received an honorary mention award for their entry at the Tabakalera international ideas competition in San Sebastián, Spain. The project was developed during the summer and submitted on the 30th September 2008.

kawamura-ganjavian have received the first prize in the product design category of the Young designers award 2008 organised by Ayuntamiento de Madrid for their project Stickingrings. The award-giving ceremony will take place on Friday 14th november 2008 at the Cibeles Palace (town hall), Madrid.

kawamura-ganjavian have been invited to show their work at the MataderoLab Refresh (marathon of young architects) by curator Ariadna Cantis as part of the Madrid Architecture Week. This event will take place on Tuesday 7th October 2008 between 10 and 15 hours in Matadero (Paseo de La Chopera, 14, Madrid).

kawamura-ganjavian have been invited to participate in the Habitat Valencia fair between 23rd and 27th september 2008 in the section dedicated to young Spanish design talents Espacio Proyecta curated by Alberto Arza. A Stickingsticks pavilion will be on show. Other participants are Daniel Gantes, Big Game, Joris Laarman, 5.5 designers.

kawamura-ganjavian have been invited to show their Stickingrings pavilion project in the new media and architecture Nous Gallery in London between 11th September 2008 and 28th October.

kawamura-ganjavian are participating in the international urbanism symposium Forum Skopje 2008 in Macedonia on the 6th June 2008. The event is curated by Ivan Mirkovski.

kawamura-ganjavian exhibit the project Locutorio Colón and a reading space in the exhibition Reactivate!! curated by Francesca Ferguson at the EACC in Castellón, Spain. The show will be open between May 23rd and August 31st 2008.

kawamura-ganjavian are giving two lectures (“Un-defining architecture” and “Excursions in the City”) at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Saints Metodius and Cyril and at the Tocka culture centre in Skopje, Macedonia. Both events have been organised by art historian Bianka Bosevska.

kawamura-ganjavian are presenting their latest design prototypes at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile between the 16th and 21st April 2008 in Milan, Italy.
